Megan

Dental Hygienist

I was born in Greensburg, then grew up in Swisshelm Park, currently residing in the Penn Hills / Verona area.
Family: I have one daughter, Sophie, fiance’ Shawn, three cats and a dog
Education: University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Hygiene
What I like most about dentistry: Being able to calm nervous patients
My happy place or favorite getaway: Anywhere with a beach!
Favorite hobby/pastime: I am a voracious reader and love the library!  We also have a house in the Laurel mountains where I spend time in nature, hiking and fishing
What I love about Pittsburgh: The cultural diversity
Favorite sports team: Steelers!  (of course)
Favorite restaurant: Salim’s – across the street. I’ve been going there for 35 years!
Favorite movie: Wizard of Oz

Treatment Coordinator

I was born in India, but moved to Canada when I was 1 year old. I grew up and was raised in Toronto, Canada. I moved to New York for my education and then moved back to Canada to finish my education in Dental Hygiene.
Education: Bachelor of Science – State University of New York, Dental Hygiene – Stafford College of Health Care
What I like most about dentistry: I love the change you can make for a patients smile and improve their confidence. The ability to help a patient achieve optimal dental care and get satisfaction in knowing you helped someone reach their goal is my favorite thing about dentistry.
My happy place or favorite getaway: A hammock on the beaches of Phi Phi Islands with a nice glass of wine.
Favorite hobby/pastime: My favorite hobby is to travel. I have a world map that you scratch off when you have visited the country. My end goal is to visit as many countries as I can before I’m 75.
What I love about Pittsburgh: is the pride this city has in it’s sports team. I have never seen so much team spirit in my life. I love tailgating to support my new favorite team, the Steelers!
Favorite restaurant: Ko San Road, the best Thai food I have ever had and it’s in Toronto, Canada.

My bucket list: skydiving over Dubai or New Zealand.

Kim

Patient Coordinator

I was born and raised on an Army Base at Campbell, KY. We moved a lot as a family,  and landed in Pittsburgh in the 70’s. I finished school in Pittsburgh, married in 1990, and began moving all over again. Kanas City, Alabama, Calgary Alberta Canada, then back to the Burgh in 2020.
Family: Married for 30 years with 3 grown daughters.
What I like most about dentistry: The amazing advances to keep people smiling.
My favorite place or favorite getaway: Kauai, Hawaii
Favorite hobby/pastime: Dance … I teach Zumba Classes and I love to Scrapbook!
What I love most about Pittsburgh: Hometown feel and pride. The feeling of family even if you are not.

Cory

Future Dentist - University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine – Class of 2028

I was born in New Jersey but moved to Pittsburgh when I was six. I went to grade school in Wexford and attended Pittsburgh Central Catholic and then the University of Pittsburgh for my undergrad. I hope to go to dental school to become a dentist!
What I like most about dentistry: I love how you can provide instant relief with good dental care. I also love how complex dentistry really becomes an art of its own.
My happy place or favorite getaway: Myrtle Beach, SC
Favorite hobby/pastime: I love playing basketball, I played in high school and I wish I could play here now.
What do you love most about Pittsburgh: Pittsburgh is the perfect blend of big and small city. The restaurants are amazing, the sports teams are always good, and the people are always nice.
Favorite sports team: Steelers!
Favorite restaurant: There are so many choices for this, but Texas de Brazil is my favorite.
Favorite movie: I am not a big movie fan, but I used to love a Good Burger as a kid.
Favorite music: I’m a big electronic music guy.
Favorite app or social media site: As edgy as it may sound, I find myself on Reddit a lot.
My bucket list: I’d love to skydive one day. I feel like I’ll never be afraid of anything after that.

Dental Assistant / Clinical Coordinator

I was born in Lexington, South Carolina and raised in  Steubenville, Ohio.   Adventure is my middle name!
Family: I am the only child, but have a huge family. My dad is the youngest of nine and my mom is a sibling of seven.
Education: I attended The Ohio State University… “Go Bucks!”
What I like most about dentistry: Helping our patients shine bright with a smile.
My happy place or getaway: My bed. LOL
Favorite hobby/pastime: My favorite hobby is perfecting my make-up, but if you see me at work I probably look a mess.
What I love most about Pittsburgh: All the hidden gems.
Favorite sports team: The Buckeye’s (OSU) and the New England Patriots (Sorry Steeler fans!!)

Administrative Hygiene Specialist

I was born and raised in rural town in northwestern PA. I moved to Pittsburgh shortly after Dental Assisting school. I lived in Pittsburgh for about 4 and a half years and decided to move to Clearwater FL where I spent the next 2. But IM BACK IN THE BURGH! I always said Pittsburgh is my home!

What I like most about dentistry: I like having the the ability to give the patients a smile they are happy and proud of!  It makes me so happy to see someone see there new teeth for the first time!

Registered Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in a city called San Felipe in Venezuela. I moved to Pittsburgh a year ago because of the love I found 4 years ago and I love this city. I am a positive person that loves taking new challenges and learning from each and every day.
Education: I am a registered dental assistant (RDA) in Pennsylvania and was a practicing dentist in Venezuela
What I like most about dentistry: I like dentistry because it is a super nice career in which you can help people with their oral health and improve their smile.

I was born and raised in Wintersville, Ohio. I enjoy cooking for my friends and family. I love to try new things and find new hobbies to master.
Education: I am a junior at the University of Pittsburgh, pursuing a major in Psychology while on the pre-dental track.
What I like most about dentistry: My favorite thing about dentistry is the opportunity it provides us to increase someone’s confidence, in their health as well as appearance.

I was born in Reading, PA.
Family: The awesome humans on the Smiles by Hart Team.
Education: Working on it with the help of lots of treats.
What I like most about dentistry: The patients! They tell me I’m adorable and I get lots of attention.
My happy place or favorite getaway: other than on a patients lap …  in the yard chasing squirrels real and imagined
Favorite Hobby / Pastime: I love a good fetch and return game and watching Animal Planet is up there too. I am particularly fond of hanging my head out the car window.
What I love about Pittsburgh: I get to go to work everyday, so I’m never home alone. Wearing winter sweaters isn’t too shabby either.
Favorite Restaurant: Starbucks puppuccino is pretty good and Brew Dogs is a close second
