Meet The Doctor

John W. Hart, DDS

 Dr. Hart is a Pittsburgh native and has been practicing dentistry in the surrounding area since 1989. He received his B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh and is a graduate of Georgetown University Dental School in Washington, D.C.  Dr Hart’s lifelong passion for art and helping people was a natural fit for dentistry. Dr Hart’s commitment to ongoing continuing education and improving every aspect of his practice keeps him at the forefront of dentistry so he can provide his patients with latest treatment technologies and advanced, minimally invasive dentistry. Dr Hart is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Dental Association, the American Dental Association and International Dental Implant Association and a post graduate of the Misch Implant Institute, Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Advanced Cerec CAD/CAM Esthetics and Implant Seminars Masters Certification.  In his spare time, Dr Hart enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, traveling, the performing arts and is a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan.

I was born and raised right here in Pittsburgh, PA! I have been here my whole life and cannot imagine living in another city. Go Steelers!
Family: They’re kinda cool…. You know who you are! I did also hear that my dad is a pretty great dentist
Education: I graduated Magna Cum Laude from High Point University in May of 2019 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Business Administration.
What I like most about dentistry: I love the ability that dental practitioners have to really give back to our community and restore confidence in their patients.
My favorite place or favorite getaway:    My happy place is definitely Florence, Italy. While pursuing my bachelor’s degree, I had the opportunity to study abroad and live there for four months. It feels like I left a piece of my heart in Italy after making so many wonderful memories and spending time with my relatives there.
Favorite hobby/pastime: Playing the piano
What I love about Pittsburgh: There is a very unique bond between people that live in Pittsburgh and a really strong hometown spirit. I love that we have some of the best food, sports teams, restaurants, and some of the most kindhearted people you’ll meet all around the city.
Favorite sports team: Anything Pittsburgh!
Favorite restaurant: Pittsburgh has so many wonderful restaurants that it is hard to pick! If I had to narrow it down, I would say either Eddie V’s or Garbarino’s.
Favorite movie: Bridesmaids… But Nacho Libre is a pretty close second.
Favorite music: I love it all! But I do know every word to every Drake song.
Favorite app or social media site: Instagram
My bucket list: To travel to French Polynesia.

A random fact: Believe it or not, I have never eaten at McDonald’s!
